A story game that teaches trading

Learn to trade the slow way.

A crypto trading simulator with a story. Real Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, fake money, and a mentor who never gives tips. Start at 21 with $100 of game money, found in your grandmother’s coat, and learn to trade without ever risking a real dollar.

No real money. Nothing to deposit, nothing to win.

A simulation. No real money. Not financial advice.

Why it exists

Most people learn trading by losing money.

They learn what a stop-loss is after the trade that needed one. They learn position size after one bad day takes a month of savings. Climb From Zero is a trading simulator for beginners that teaches the same lessons where mistakes cost nothing: paper trading on live prices with the game’s money, inside a story that makes you care about doing it right.

  • Real prices. Live Bitcoin and Ethereum, candle by candle.
  • Fake money. No exchange, no wallet, no deposit. Ever.
  • Your own rules. How much you risk is up to you. The game holds you to it.
The story

Start with $100 of game money. See how far you climb.

Twenty-one, broke, one room over a laundromat with your mother. Then $100 sewn into your grandmother’s coat: “For a rainy day.” Every chapter is a goal with no deadline, and every dollar is earned by trading well.

  1. Chapter 1, The Mentor
    Chapter 1

    The Mentor

Robin, who once lived upstairs, offers to teach you. Practice money only: real lessons and real price history, with nothing to lose yet.

Goal Finish the six Foundations lessons and play one replay round.

  2. Chapter 2, The Hundred
    Chapter 2 Free to $150

    The Hundred

A hundred dollars turns up where you least expect it, and you decide to trade it carefully. Your first real trades, your own rules, and an old friend who wants you to go faster.

Goal Grow $100 to $1,000. No deadline.

  3. Chapter 3, The Bill
    Chapter 3 Pro

    The Bill

Life doesn't wait for your account to grow. A bill nobody planned for, five thousand dollars of it, and a friend with a faster idea. Robin's advice hasn't changed.

Goal Pay a $5,000 bill: any amount, any time. No due date.

  4. Chapter 4, Standing Up
    Chapter 4 Pro

    Standing Up

With the bill behind you, the app offers something new: borrowing to trade bigger, and betting on prices falling. Robin wants you to understand it before you touch it. An old friend learns what it costs the hard way, and home slowly gets back to normal.

Goal Three good months in a row: each game month ends up, with trades that keep your own rules. No deadline.

Chapter 5 · The City comes in a later update.

The Academy

From zero. 37 lessons.

Robin made a fortune trading and lost it in eleven days. Now Robin teaches you: not how to get rich, how not to get destroyed. Short lessons with real charts and pictures, and a quiz at the end of every one, “because I don’t trust nodding.”

Practice

Practise on real history.

A trading simulator built on real market history. Replay rounds hide the coin, the dates and the price level, so hindsight can’t help you. Today’s round is the same stretch for every player, so you can see how everyone else did. And six history challenges drop you into famous moments, candle by candle.

About the challenges
Practise like a trader

Draw it. Plan it. See what the market did.

Jump to a random stretch of the past and step through it on hourly, 4-hour or daily candles. Draw your support, resistance and trend lines with your finger, write down why you’re taking the trade and what you expect, and when it closes, answer three questions: did the market accept your plan, what happened, and what you’d do better. Every round is kept in your practice journal.

A replay round with a support line, a resistance zone, a note and the trade’s entry, stop and target
Draw your levels, on your phone. Lines, zones, notes and risk boxes, with a magnifier under your finger. Longer timeframes are one tap away.
After a stop-loss: why the trade was taken, what was expected, and the player’s notes
Write the plan, then the truth. Why you took it, what you expected, and what really happened.
A saved round: the trade drawn as its plan, the support line, and the candles after the round ended
Look back with what came next. The chart with your drawings, your trades and the candles after the round, revealed. Export it all to a spreadsheet.
Trade

Real charts. Real discipline.

Risk management is the whole game. Every trade starts with a plan: a stop-loss set while you’re calm, a target, and one line on why. Then real prices decide, even with the app closed, and your trading journal asks the only question that matters: did you follow your own rules?

A live chart with the trade’s stop-loss and take-profit
Plan it before you buy. Stop, target and reason, with the risk in dollars before you press Buy.
A journal entry: a stop-loss hit at −1R, as planned, nothing flagged
Lose the trade, keep your money. A planned loss is a good trade. The journal says so.
Your rules, your trading stats and a discipline score of 94 out of 100
Scored on discipline. Not luck: how well you keep your own rules and good habits.
Robin's reviews

Every trade gets a second look.

Ask Robin about any closed trade. The game measures what you could have known when you pressed Buy: where your stop sat against support and resistance, how far that was in ATRs, your size against your own rules. Robin puts it into plain words, then gives you one thing to do next time. Never a tip, never a signal: only your own decisions.

Your trade, measured. What went well, what to work on, and a lesson to read.
Robin on your habits: trades opened within 30 minutes of a loss, and risk raised after losses
Your habits, named. Robin reads your last 20 trades: chasing losses, risk creeping up, winners cut early.

Practise it. Quick drills on real, blind charts: spot the support, read the trend, name the candle, place the stop.

Robin's reviews are written by AI (Google's Gemini) from numbers the game measures. Three are free to try; Climb Pro reviews every trade.

The Library

Read what the old traders paid to learn.

Robin hands you books as the story goes on: Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, the Dutch tulip mania, the South Sea Bubble, Franklin, Barnum, and the warnings the regulators wish every crypto buyer read. Ten titles, each part with a note from Robin on what it means for a coin chart today. Free to read, and every part you finish earns XP.

Only skill

No ads. No boosts. No buying your way up.

There’s nothing to buy that moves you up: no coins, no power-ups, no paid shortcuts, and no ads. Every dollar in your account got there because you traded well and kept your rules. Robin puts it plainly: “The fast way doesn’t exist. It only looks like it does in other people’s photos.”

The desk

Buy a laptop in the game. Trade on your real one.

Once your character can afford a laptop, your desk opens in any web browser: a big live chart, the order ticket beside it, your journal and your story. It’s the same climb as your phone, signed in with the same account. With Climb Pro, draw on the chart: trend lines, zones, Fibonacci levels, notes and a risk box that shows your reward-to-risk. Your drawings follow you to your phone.

Questions

Good to know

What is Climb From Zero?

Climb From Zero is a crypto trading simulator with a story: real Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, fake money, and a mentor who never gives tips. You start at 21 with $100 found in your grandmother’s coat, learn from Robin in 37 short lessons, practise on real market history, and trade live Bitcoin and Ethereum prices with the game’s money, climbing through a story with no deadlines.

Do I need real money to play?

No. The $100 you start with is game money, found in the story. You never deposit anything, nothing in the game is real money or real cryptocurrency, and nothing can be won. Climb Pro is an optional subscription, and the start of the climb is free without it.

Is it real money?

No. Every dollar in the game is pretend, and the game never connects to an exchange, a wallet or a broker. The prices are real, the money is not. Nothing you do in the game can win or lose real money, and nothing in it is financial advice.

What does it teach?

37 short lessons in 8 tracks: Foundations (markets, candles, levels, indicators, orders, position size), Risk and money, The crypto world (including how to spot scams), Trading psychology, Reading the market, Leverage explained, Strategies, and Money outside the charts. Every lesson ends with a quiz, and Robin explains with real charts and pictures.

What is free, and what does Climb Pro cost?

Free: the prologue, Chapter 1, and live trading with your $100 of game money until your account reaches $150 (about the first week). Free always: Foundations and the scam-safety lessons, today’s practice round, 3 blind replay rounds a day, the first two history challenges, quick drills, the Library and three of Robin’s trade reviews. Climb Pro is the rest of the climb: trading past $150 and the story to the end, all 37 lessons, unlimited practice, every history challenge, leverage practice, Robin’s review of every trade and the desk’s chart drawing tools, for $49.99 a year (with a 7-day free trial) or $7.99 a month, billed through the App Store or Google Play. If you stop, your open trades keep running and everything you did stays.

Can I buy my way up?

No. There are no ads, no boosts and no way to buy money, XP or progress. Every dollar you climb is earned by trading well and keeping your own rules. Climb Pro opens more of the story and the course; it never moves the climb for you.

Will it make me ready to trade with real money?

It will teach you what most beginners learn the hard way: a plan before every trade, a stop you set while calm, sizing so one loss can’t sink you, and the habit of reviewing your trades. Results with fake money don’t predict results with real money, so treat the game as practice, not proof, and never trade money you can’t afford to lose.

What is the desk?

The same game on a computer. Buy a laptop in the game and your desk opens in any web browser: a big live chart, the order ticket beside it, your journal and your story, all the same account as your phone. With Climb Pro you can draw on the desk’s chart (trend lines, zones, Fibonacci, notes and a risk box), and your drawings show on your phone.

Who is Robin, and what are Robin’s reviews?

Robin is your mentor in the story. Ask Robin about a closed trade and the game measures what you could have known when you entered: where your stop sat against support and resistance, how far that was in ATRs, your size against your own rules. Robin then reviews it in plain words, and can look for habits across your last 20 trades. The reviews are written by AI (Google’s Gemini) from those numbers. Robin never gives tips or tells you what to buy.

When can I play?

Soon on iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). The game is in final testing; this page will link to both stores as soon as the listings are live.
